THE PD GUIDE

A Professional Development Guide for Illinois Adult Educators

The purpose of this PD Guide is to provide guidance to adult education instructors as they design their professional development plans each year. The PD Guide is not inclusive of all opportunities but instead contains a targeted selection of PD categorized as Required, Recommended, and Elective. Each section of the Guide is broken into two categories: instructors with 0-1 years of adult education experience, and instructors with 2+ years of adult education experience.

Professional Development Catalog

ICCB PD Course Catalog

The Professional Development Network (PDN) provides professional development opportunities for all Illinois adult educators, staff, and administrators. Most courses in the catalog are open enrollment, though some do require an enrollment code or registration in order to access the training or course. Contact the responsible PDN service center for information on how to access training by using the information in the “How to Begin Course” column. For courses housed in iLEARN, first time visitors will need to create an account at the Log-In screen and save their username and password for future use.

The catalog is organized by content area and includes a course summary, information about availability and delivery of the course, and instructions for how to begin.
