Data Proficient

This course is designed to provide an prepare intake staff, data managers, and administrators for their interactions with data in adult education. This is the first of three parts of the Data Pathway. At the end of this training, you can continue on to become a Data Specialist and eventually a Data Master. 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate mastery of basic spreadsheet functions by completing tasks in Excel or Google Sheets
• Summarize the information needed for the intake process
• Describe the importance of the intake components as related to funding
• Use communication techniques to effectively complete the intake process with students
• Enter data into DAISI
• Define NRS and its relationship with program assessments
• Name components of the funding formula
