Credentialed Proficient Instructors in ELA Standards are eligible to take ELA Specialist Training. Training announcements will be emailed directly to all credentialed Proficient Instructors in ELA Standards.

ELA Specialist Training takes a deeper look at the Illinois Content Standards for English Language Acquisition. In addition, participants will learn and practice conducting peer observations and providing feedback. This training is the first step toward attaining the ICCB Credential of Specialist in ELA Standards, which requires the submission of additional documentation.

Training consists of these components:

• ELA Specialist Training iLEARN course

• Two webinars

• Interim assignment between the two webinars

• Culminating assignment
