GED® PD for Teachers
Empower Students to Pass the Math GED® – *NEW* iLEARN Course Open Now
This GED® math course focuses on empowering students to be successful on the GED® math subtest. The math subtest is most often the last test students must tackle and the one they are most nervous about. This course provides participants with research-based practical strategies they can apply to help students use their reading and math skills to pass the math GED® test.

Check out 12 new lesson plans created by Carolyn Markel of Morton College. The lessons are designed for use at NRS Level 3, so students can be prepped and ready for the Science and Social Studies GED® tests, often the two earliest subtests students take. Each lesson contains targeted materials and activities that align with the content and skills on the GED® test.

GED® 3 of 4 Ideas
GED® tracks students who have completed 3 of 4 GED® sub-tests (i.e., those who only have one test until full completion). Local programs can access a 3 of 4 report from GED Manager to create their own contact list to encourage students to return and finish their last test.
In 2022 and 2023, a state-wide 3 of 4 campaign was run in Illinois, where we contacted 3 of 4 students and encouraged them to complete their GED® tests. The recording of the kickoff webinar for that campaign has a wealth of resources individual programs can use. The recording of the 2022 bootcamp/GED® 3 of 4 webinar (slidedeck) is available here.
