excellence in adult education

Dedicated time for you to learn, apply ideas, and share with each other!

All Illinois adult educators are striving to meet their students’ needs during this challenging period. Now is EXACTLY THE TIME to lean into each other for targeted learning, for community, for engagement, and for support. We invite you to be part of our adult ed teacher community this year!

This is a difficult time for adult educators…but you are still out there doing your work and supporting your students…and we are still here, supporting you!

The Teacher Exchange includes live virtual teacher monthly meetings to provide time for you to apply and practice ideas, as well as share and learn from each other.

Teacher Exchange Let's Share

Registration will remain open throughout the Teacher Exchange to allow participants to jump in at anytime during the fall term. Participants that miss the live kick-off event must complete the asynchronous Teacher Exchange Kick-off session before attending any other sessions.

This is an 'earn as you' go PD opportunity, meaning you earn PD hours for each meeting attended. PD hours are available to those that attend/complete all meetings. Additional PD hours may also be available for asynchrnous work completed.

Participants can expect the following from this adult education teacher community:

  • Sharing of important evidence-based teaching approaches chosen by IL AE teachers

  • Ongoing application of what you learn to your own practice

  • Self-evaluation of your experience and asking for feedback from your students

  • Virtual opportunities to share with your peers and learn from their experience

Let’s come together to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact on our students’ lives. We can’t wait to see you there!
