Orientation to Adult Education for Instructors is a multi-module course that is required of all Illinois new adult education instructors. Instructors are required to complete the ICCB Orientation to Adult Education for Instructors course within 6 months of hire and within the fiscal year the course was started. It is designed to provide background information on the field of adult education, including students, assessments, ABE, ASE, ESL, special learning needs, technology, and more. Six hours of professional development will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
