English Language Acquisition (ELA) Standards Proficient Instructor Training is strongly recommended by the Illinois Community College Board for all ELA instructors employed by ICCB-funded adult education programs. The training has three components:

• ELA Standards Foundations online course (5 hours)

• 2 live webinars (6 hours total)

• Independent activity (3 hours)
