ESL Specialist Training

Cohort 2, Day 1

Credentialed ESL Standards Proficient Instructors are eligible to take ESL Specialist Training. Training announcements will be emailed directly to all credentialed ESL Standards Proficient Instructors.

ESL Specialist training takes a deeper look at the Illinois ESL Content Standards. In addition, participants will learn and practice conducting peer observations and providing feedback. This training is the first step toward attaining the ICCB ESL Specialist Credential, which requires the submission of additional documentation.

Training consists of five components:

• ESL Specialist Training iLEARN course

• Two webinars

• Interim assignment

• Culminating assignment
