Start Time: 10:00am
End Time: 2:00pm

Join Dr. Olesen-Tracey, the Senior Director for Adult Education and Literacy, as she facilitates an NRS Institute on December 15th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the ISU Alumni Center, 1101 N. Main, Normal, Illinois. There is no cost to attend, and lunch will be provided.

While participation is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged. There will be a remote option for joining the Institute virtually and the information shared will be recorded.

The focus of the training day will be on NRS – the accountability system for the federally funded, state-administered adult education program.

NRS embodies the accountability requirements of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for the adult education and literacy program (Title II) and reporting under WIOA.

After fully engaging in the Institute, individuals will understand:

(1) WIOA performance indicators and other NRS measures

(2) methodologies for collecting the measures

(3) what counts as a measurable skill gain

(4) the NRS reporting tables

This training is specifically designed to help local programs understand the “what” and the “why” of intake data and ICCB’s rationale for implementing the NRS Data Quality Checklist. Additionally, there will be discussions on barriers to employment, and other key topics related to data collection.
